About me

Hi, I’m Szilvia, founder of Canary Islands Investments.

I’m originally from Hungary, and at the age of 18, I moved to the UK to begin my career in hospitality. I worked my way up in hospitality management, where I learned the importance of detail, trust, and delivering excellent service.

Alongside my professional journey, I studied Accounting and Finance, which gave me a strong analytical foundation and a natural ability to identify and evaluate investment opportunities.

In London, I built my own Short Let Cleaning Business, which taught me how to run a service-based company with efficiency and care.

In 2018, my husband and I moved to Gran Canaria, where we bought our first investment property and started a Short Let Management Business. Since then, I’ve been an Airbnb Superhost, welcoming guests from all over the world and helping other owners make the most of their properties.

In 2022, we bought and refurbished our second and third investment properties in Gran Canaria, which we now rent out long term. Living and investing here opened my eyes to both the opportunities and challenges that foreigners face when buying property on the island.

That’s why I started my next adventure — helping expats and investors buy smarter in Gran Canaria.
