Cookie Policy
This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on canaryislandsinvestments.com and how you can control them.

1. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by a website. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage, which allow a website to keep small amounts of information in your browser. This policy covers all of them.
2. What this website actually uses
This website does not use advertising, marketing, profiling or analytics technologies. It does not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, remarketing tags or social-media trackers, and it does not share browsing data with advertising networks.
The technologies currently in use are the following:
- Language preference (local storage, key “cii-lang”): remembers whether you chose English or Hungarian, so the site opens in your language next time. Stored in your browser until you clear it. Category: preference — set only after you actively choose a language or your browser language is applied for display purposes; it stores no identifier and is not used for tracking.
- Login session (local storage, keys beginning “sb-”): used only in the private administration area. It keeps an authorised administrator signed in and is created only when someone signs in. Category: strictly necessary.
- Administration interface state (local storage, and a “sidebar_state” cookie): remembers small interface preferences in the internal admin and viewing-checklist tools, such as whether a panel is open. Created only inside the private admin area. Category: strictly necessary / preference.
- Hosting and security: our hosting provider processes standard server log data (such as IP address) to deliver pages securely and detect abuse. This is not a cookie and is not used to track you across websites.
3. Consent
Because the website currently uses only strictly necessary technologies and a language-preference entry that you trigger yourself, no prior consent banner is required under applicable e-privacy rules, and no non-essential technology is activated before consent.
If we ever introduce analytics, marketing or other non-essential cookies, we will first implement a consent banner in which “Accept” and “Reject” are presented at the same level and with equal prominence, no non-essential cookie will be set before you accept, and you will be able to change your choice at any time from this page.
4. Third-party cookies
We do not embed third-party advertising or social-media content that sets cookies on our pages. If, in future, a payment page is displayed by a payment provider, that provider may set its own strictly necessary cookies to process the payment securely; that processing is governed by the provider's own cookie and privacy policies.
5. Managing your preferences
You can clear the language preference stored by this website using the button below. You can also delete or block cookies and local storage at any time in your browser settings — see the help pages for Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge. Blocking strictly necessary items may prevent parts of the site, in particular the private administration area, from working correctly.
6. Updates
If the technologies used by this website change, this page will be updated. Questions can be sent to info@canaryislandsinvestments.com.
